Don Bird is the recipient of 2 Clio Awards, 2 Juno Awards, 1 Commercial of the Year Award and 1 Silver Ace Award.  His dynamic track record working with high-profile musicians include Shania Twain, Jim Cuddy, Paul Brandt, Kenny Rogers, Dick Clark, The Oak Ridge Boys, Bruce Cockburn, Michelle Wright, George Fox, Patricia Conroy, Prairie Oyster, Huey Lewis, Gladys Knight and the Temptations, to name a few, and has been involved with the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) events. 

 

He is an accomplished entertainment professional with multi-genre production, promotion, and presentation accomplishments in areas of live events, music, television, video, and radio project management.

Kevin Doyle

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kevin Doyle is the winner of three Juno Awards.  He has been nominated for ten Juno Awards and one Grammy Award.  Kevin has worked with performers both in Canada as well as internationally.  A few of these names are Van Morrison, Glenn Gould, Yo Yo Ma, Gowan, Hall & Oates, Sinaed O’Conor, Jann Arden, Andrea Bocelli, Chieftains, Anne Murray, Allanah Myles, John McDermott, Kiss and Amy Sky.  The list goes on and on.  He is also an accomplished musician.  Kevin gained experience working in some of the most admired studios in Toronto.  He continues to work with a variety of artists globally and also at his studio in London, Ontario.

Dr. Jackie Gartner-Schmidt, PhD, SLP-CCC  -  University of Pittsburgh Voice Center

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jackie Gartner-Schmidt, PhD, associate director, is assistant professor of
otolaryngology head and neck surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Gartner-Schmidt received an undergraduate double honors degree in psychology and voice performance from Queen’s University in Canada and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Michigan State University. She then joined the Vanderbilt Voice Center in Nashville, Tennessee where she specialized in care of the professional voice before earning her doctorate from the University of Maryland in hearing and speech sciences. Dr. Gartner-Schmidt specializes in care of the professional voice and focuses her research on clinical effectiveness of voice therapy, as well as psychological considerations in the assessment and management of patients with voice disorders.

 

 

Dr. Timothy Seelig, PhD  -  Doctor of Musical Art

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Timothy Seelig holds four degrees including Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of North Texas and a Diploma in Lieder and Oratorio from the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. He is on the adjunct music faculty at the Meadows School for the Arts at Southern Methodist University where he teaches voice and Vocal Pedagogy.

 

He has two solo recordings, is a published arranger, lyricist and has contributed to several books on choral technique.  He has been a solo singer, voice teacher and choral conductor for over 30 years.

 

2007 marks Dr. Seelig’s 20th year as Artistic Director of the Turtle Creek Chorale with over 200 singing members performing annually to live audiences in excess of 50,000.  In addition to the full chorale, Dr. Seelig conducts ENCORE!, Chamber Chorus and mixed chorus, One Achord.

 

I would like to thank Dr. Seelig for including my work in his latest book entitled “The Perfect Rehearsal”.  An excerpt from my article “Am I Damaging my Voice” was included in his chapter “Vocal Health in Rehearsal”.
